THE ART WITHIN THE LAND

Each Johan label is a unique piece of art, capturing a moment in time or a distinct phenomenon from the property. It's a collaborative process between Morgan, our winemaker, and Yong Hong Zhong, an established local artist. They work closely together to find the artistic expression that best conveys the story and essence of each wine.

The artist behind the Johan Vineyards bottle labels, Yong Hong Zhong

Meet the Artist

Yong Hong Zhong was born in Canton, China and immigrated to the U.S. at age twelve. His passion for art began early, leading him to attend the prestigious La Guardia High School in New York City. He went on to study Illustration and Art History at Pratt Institute.
